First of all we have to know that what is copyright?

copyright mean that if a website or blogs have their original content on their forums and they apply the condition of copyright on their content.Then if any body steals ,duplicating the content from their blogs or sites he is violating the copyright law.which will be very expensive for the person who uses this copyright violated content in its site or blog.
if you are using the duplicated content from other sites or blogs then you are going to devalue your blog before google.Content checking is not performed by mans physically but content checking is performed by google bots.Google bots check the all content of your blog in second and compares the content with other sites if the match is found your content is considered as duplicated content mean that you have stealed the content from other site and used it in your site or blog.So by doing this you have violated the copyright law.so your blog or web site becomes suspicions before the google bots.so try to use your own pure content in blog to protect your blog from down ranking.Use only your own written content in your blogs or web sites.

Google used their secret algorithms to check the content whether it is pure content or the sealed(copy from other site or blog) content .

This is an algorithm which is used for detecting the duplicated or copyright violated content.
let assume that we have a post in our blog which has the fallowing content
"A quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog"
Step 1:
First of all this algorithm will neglects the helping verbs and only concentrates on the nouns

Step 2:
Shilling algorithm will makes the possible small sentences from the nouns of this content after neglecting the helping verbs.
                        1.quick brown fox
                        2.over lazy dog
                        3.quick lazy dog
                        4.quick fox jumps
                        5.brown lazy dog
                        6.quick lazy dog
                        7.quick brown lazy dog

Step 3:
After this content of your blog is compared to these sentences.If any match is found then content will be delivered duplicated.

NOTE:Google allows only 20% for duplication any duplicate content
